Emergency calling (911) is not supported
Topaz does not support 911 or other emergency calls during early access. Keep another way to reach emergency services.
Topaz cannot call 911
During early access, Topaz does not connect calls to 911 or any other emergency number. A call to 911 from a Topaz phone will not reach emergency services.
Keep another way to call for help
Do not use Topaz as your only phone service anywhere someone may need to call for help. Keep a mobile phone or another phone line available, and make sure everyone who uses a Topaz phone knows it cannot call 911. A label on each desk phone helps.
Power and internet outages
Topaz phones work over the internet. They stop working during a power cut or an internet outage.
Never test with 911
Do not dial 911 to test a Topaz phone. Test with an ordinary call instead.
