Add a user
In SmartPBX, open Users and add each person with their name, email and an extension number, such as 101, 102 and so on.
Give them a phone
Add one or more devices to the user: a desk phone, a softphone on their computer or an app on their mobile. See Phones & devices.
Voicemail and direct numbers
Each user can have a voicemail box for calls they don’t answer. You can also give a user their own phone number so outside callers reach them directly.
What it costs
No platform, per-user or per-device fees. You pay for calls and phone numbers ($4.99 a month each) from prepaid credit. Calls between extensions in your account are free.
Test it
Call the new extension from another phone, let one call go unanswered to check voicemail, and make an outside call from the new phone.
